How to Boost your Social Media – Quickly!

Tips on how to boost your social media quickly | Ashley Deland

If there is a bandwagon you should jump on its social media. Currently, it attracts billions of people every day that consume every type of content – from written to voice, pictures to video. The good news is you’re in a perfect position to take a piece of that pie – right now – and a big piece at that.

Like many business owners, setting up social media accounts can be a daunting task. There’s the professional looking profile picture, “about the company” section, the slur of post content and a flurry of other initial steps that can overwhelm first time users. To add to the pressure once your page is up, you need to constantly feed it with more content to engage your followers and build traction.

5 Steps to Shift Yourself Towards Success

5 Steps to Shift Yourself towards Success | Ashley Deland

Developing “success habits” early on in your entrepreneur life can lead to extraordinary potential, power and results. From celebrating small milestones to setting big dreams learn some of my secret sauce recipes to shift your mindset towards success and create the business of your dreams.

Dare yourself to dream.

A lot of people contain their dreams because they don’t want to be disappointed. What they fail to see is how that’s a disappointment in itself. True success is about pushing boundaries, going out of your comfort zone and embracing the opportunity to be genuinely happy in your vision. How big the dream is doesn’t matter. It can be as small as creating a business Facebook page and getting word out or as ambitious as being a Fortune 500 company. Whatever it is make sure that it’s true to what you want and that it fits within your businesses goals, manifesto and vision statement. Have it motivate you everyday to put the work into it – one step at a time.

How to Create a Real Relationship with your Clients

How to create a real relationship with your clients | Ashley Deland

What many successful businesses have in common is how they treat their customers. Most of them – whether they’re as big as Starbucks or as small as a one-person team – create and maintain a genuine relationship with their clients from the first point of contact to well after a sale has been made.

This genuine connection gives them an opportunity to create a real bond that turns into a loyal customer and credible relationship.

It then provides an opportunity to sell more products or services, encourages them to refer people and eventually turns them into brand ambassadors aka brand fans.

To help you create genuine and lasting customer relationships, here are 5 things you can easily incorporate into your client experience right now.

Get that Leader’s Mindset in just 30 Seconds

Tips on how to get a leader's mindset in 30 seconds

There’s no one “perfect” way to be a leader. Effective leaders come from different backgrounds, all over the world. They’re outspoken and reserved, creative and analytical. They may work hard in the mornings or like me work best at night and sleep in till noon.

If the best leaders in the business world have one thing in common, it’s this: they have worked to cultivate that leader’s mindset.

The right mindset can actually provide real ROI (return on investment). Jim Taylor, PhD., writes that mindset alone “has a big effect on your company’s bottom line, setting the stage of its performance, productivity and ultimately its profitability.”

The best part about mindset is it’s one of the few things in business that’s actually, truly, within your control.

Here are five things you can do right now to start thinking like a leader.

What’s your “Why”? Hint: It’s your Life Purpose

When we are young, people always ask us: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” They don’t ask about what school we’re going to go to, what neighborhood we’re going to live in, or how much money we want to make. They ask us what we want to be.

And when we answer? They ask us why.

I can bet that it was a rare child who answered that question with something about a 401K, supply economy, or the chance of breaking a $100,000 salary before their 35th. Instead, we answered from our hearts.

We wanted to do it because it would help people, it would save animals, or it would help us reach the stars.

When we were children we knew our why, but somewhere along the way people stopped asking and a lot of us stopped thinking about it.

When we stopped thinking about our why, we started settling.

Discovering your why is essentially about discovering your passion and then understanding why it fire’s you up. You then use that fuel to gain clarity and focus towards making it into a career and ultimately creating a life you love.

Steve Jobs was once quoted as saying:

“You have to be burning with an idea, or a problem, or a wrong that you want to right. If you’re not passionate enough from the start, you’ll never stick it out.”

The idea that that passion will be what keeps you going is an important one. Whatever your passionate about will be what keeps your dream alive. It will allow you to focus your attention and endeavors on your dream becoming a success and will keep you returning to that ultimate goal when you inevitably face setbacks.

Your why should be about more than just what you hope to do. It should also take into account your innate strengths. Ask yourself what you are good at. Are you adept at unraveling complex patterns? Do you come up with ‘out of the box’ solutions, or are you extremely creative? Write down and become aware of what your natural strengths, weaknesses and unique attributes are. Those are what set you apart from everyone else.

Companies like Warby Parker and Tom’s have created a unique market and loyalty within their customer base. This is because they know and demonstrate their “why”. They know their strengths, weaknesses and unique attributes and use them to their advantage. This not only sets them apart from competition but also has helped them achieve great levels of success not just within their industry but worldwide.

Knowing your why is a fundamental part of growing your business and living your life to the fullest, with purpose.

Whether you already have a business and want to better understand how to attract customers, or if your business is still a series of Post-It notes and dreams, knowing your why will allow you to guide it towards growth and success. Any company functioning without a why is a ship without a rudder. You may be going somewhere, but that doesn’t mean you’re going in the right direction.

To make sure that you’re creating a future that you can live fully with passion and dedication, you have to find your why. Look inside yourself, and ask: “what do I want to be when I grow up?”
